Frances has recently been appointed by Falmouth University, as South West Creative Technology Network, Project Lead for the project Reshaping Spaces for Health and Care.
Reshaping Spaces for Health and Care project will focus on the pressing question of the use of space in the context of the design challenges faced by the health sector in their pivot towards digital provision. The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in an unprecedented change to the way in which we use civic, business and leisure spaces. As the world moves towards acknowledging the presence of COVID-19 for the medium to long-term future, this project will reimagine the use of space, not only to account for the needs of more stringent hygiene and the spatial implications of social distancing but also to recognise the fundamental changes in the way we are beginning to use civic and private buildings and the emerging potential of hybrid physical/virtual spaces.
