Year 10 student Jacob, worked with Frances as part of St Peter's Church of England School, Exeter, work experience week in July 2021.

Jacob worked alongside Frances and observed the design process for a conversion of a house to improve its energy efficiency. He also worked on his own design project based on the RIBA South West Inette Austin-Smith Work Experience Competition brief for a beach hut. Jacob was introduced to model making, virtual 3D modelling and architectural drawing techniques. He also undertook a site visit and developed his own design using sketch-up and modelling in card. As part of the work experience week, he also worked on a photocollage to communicate the inital proposals.
