The culmination of Rob Colbourne’s project 20ft to an Inch was launched on 25 November 2011 at Diglis House Hotel, Severn Street, Worcester.
20ft to an Inch is the documentation of Rob Colbourne’s conversations with people of Worcester along the riverside between City Bridge and Diglis Bridge during 2011.
A twelve meter text map was unveiled by Helena Attlee, Royal Literary Fund Writer in Residence at the University of Worcester, on Friday 25th November 2011. It was hung on the riverside wall next to Diligs House Hotel during the weekend of 25 November 2011.
20ft to an Inch was commissioned, as part of Liminal’s Tranquillity is a State of Mind by Sustrans and as part of improvement to Worcester’s walking and cycling facilities. It was supported by the Arts Council England, Big Lottery, Worcester City and Worcestershire County Councils.
