Liminal are the fourth artist in the series ‘The Silence Between’ at the Paul Stolper Gallery, London

Curated by Paul Stolper and composer Adrian Corker, ‘The Silence Between’ invites artists whose works use sound to involve and include the space between the gallery's usual scheduled shows. The works cover a range of different disciplines from installation, to sculpture and performance.

‘The Silence Between’ comprise of a number of shows over twelve months, culminating in a group show of all exhibited artists and a published edition. Previous artists were Jem Finer, Dawn Scarfe, Rie Nakajima and Richard Skelton.

Our work Chroma: Interaction of Noise is the fourth in 'The Silence Between: a series of exhibitions concerned with sound'. Chroma: Interaction of Noise evolved out of our ongoing interest in the sound of ‘noise’, its implied redundancy within music and its impact on our perception of the environments in which we live. In Chroma: Interaction of Noise, we use the colours of noise: white, grey, pink, purple, blue and brown, to shape our perception of the ‘white box’ of the gallery space.
