Liminal will show the premiere of their new film Of This Parish: Freguesia de Sul at The Little Theatre in Bath @ICIA event Site, Sound and Place

Of This Parish: Freguesia de Sul, was filmed on location in the Parish of Sul, Portugal as part of a three week residency with Binaural/Nodar, supported by the Arts Council England and Falmouth University’s Sonva. Of This Parish: Freguesia de Sul is an art/documentary film that explores through sound the idea of parish as defined by the sounding of church bells and the associated myths and traditions that influence our understanding of place and community in contemporary society.

Site Sound and Place provides the context for a series of cross-artform talks and discussion with Shobana Jeyasingh, Louisa Fairclough and Liminal. All three artists explore an interest in the relationship between site, sound and place. Through their works, the artists delve into particular geographies where people reflect, ritualize and/or come together as communities. Chaired by Iain Sinclair, poet laureate of modern psychogeography. Sinclair's work orbits around concepts of place like no other contemporary British writer, perfectly aligning him to explore this season's works.
